US ARMY VIETNAM WAR TIGER STRIPES TUNIC
This is a US Army Tiger stripes shirt. These items were issued to special forces personnel. Two pocket
construction. With green, plastic buttons. the buttons remain exposed after the shirt is closed.
This type of items are heavily reproduced. very close attention must be paid to the pattern of the
camouflage, this is one way to identify the fakes.
A small pocket is found on the chest area. two buttons are used to close the flap.
The inside of the collar area was stamped with black ink. the stamp would indicate the size and the ethnicity for
which the item was designed. A stamp of "US" indicates that the shirt was created for an American soldier. A stamp
of the letter "A" indicates it was design for an Asian. American shirts are bigger than Asian shirts.
