WWII US NAVY HAT BADGE
This is a US Navy hat badge. This particular sample was issued during WWII and the Korean war.
Of Sterling silver construction with a hollowed back. The design consisted of an anchor with a chain around
it. The letters USN are placed in large font in the front-center section of the anchor.
This badge is manufacturer marked, however, not all badges were. There are many cases where the markings were
not stamped. The badge was attached to the hat via the use of the Pin. A catch ensures the pin remains secured.
