Spanish American War US Navy Sword -
In all the years of collecting I have not seen a finer example of a US Navy WWII sword.
This is an officer's WWII sword. In near mint condition. The blade is nicely engraved. The scabbard is of leather construction with multiple gold
metal pieces. the handle is wrapped in a white material with wire encircling it. The hand guard portrays the classical figure of a dolphin. a very
beautiful sword.
The sword is offered complete with the leather carrying case, which shows some wear to the top portion of the closing flap. Also included is the soft
cloth cover. The sword is placed in the soft cover prior to inserting it into the leather carrier. Both items have the number 32 stamped on them.
A current sword. made today. Will cost around $600.00. The sowrd offered here is a bargain considering the craftsmanship, age and historical value.
