Ammo Pouch Marking
Ammo pouches were often marked on the inside of the flap. In some cases the markings were placed on the reverse. Markings were done in black ink.



Canteen Pouch Marking
Canteen covers were stamped with black ink. The markings were placed on the inside of one of the flaps or on the reverse of the cover.



Leather Holster Marking
These type of markings were found on holsters and ammo pouches for high ranking officers.



Canteen Marking
Canteens were most commonly stamped on one of two places. the bottom or the lower back. The example shown here shows a date, manufacturer and US. Not sure what the number 5 indicated.



Canteen Cup Marking
The canteen cups were also stamped with information. Usually found on the bottom part. This example shows a US, company that manufactured it and a date.



Dress Hat Marking
Many of the dress hats issued to American troops were stamped with the manufacturer's name. The example shown here was found on the crown of the liner.



Leather Holster US Marking
Many leather products such as holsters were embossed with the "US" logo. The example shown here was found on the top of the closing flap of a .45 cal holster.
