WWII US Amy Air Force Khaki Shirt - When the United States entered World War Two much of the military was unprepared for combat. The unforms and equipment employed was very antiquated, most of it dated back to World War one. WWII witnessed a large introduction of new designs of combat clothing. The Army Air Force developed summer khaki shirts for tropical battlefields. Manufactured of wool and cotton material.



The item featured here is a Khaki colored utility shirt. Of cotton construction. Two pocket style. Brown plastic buttons are all present.





The American tunics held a variety of patches and insignia in the left and right arms. Also in the breast area.

This example has a Private First Class patch on both arms. One sleeve has the basic Army Air Force patch.
