WWII US Army Fatigue Shirt - The United States armed forces employed a variety of fatigue shirts during WWII. The example portrayed on this page was manufactured from a canvis-like material. The shirt had two pockets with a flap secured by a single button. The shirt came equipped with plastic buttons. This type of uniform saw action in both the Pacific and European fronts.

Notice how one of the pockets comes equipped with a pen/pencil holder. All the shirts were issued with long sleeves. Many of the soldiers modified them to short sleeves, specially in the South Pacific where the weather could be much hotter.

Some of the shirts has manufacturing tags. In Other instances the information was simply stamped in black ink. Sometimes it is very difficult to read the stamps because they wear out.
