US Army M-4 fighting Knife -
This is a US M-4 bayonet. The original design started in WWII. it was the standard bayonet
for the M-1 rifle. As time went by modifications were made to better suit it to modern
combat applications.
Black plastic handles with a checkered pattern. Two rivets are used to keep the handle together.
The pommel has a starburst pattern caused by the use of a metal wedge that secured the pommel to the
body of the handle.
The crossguard is marked "US M4, Bren-Dan" to indicate the knife type and the name of the manufacturer.
The opposite side has a large circular shape to allow the rifle barrel to slide through.
The blade is double edged. It is stiletto style.
