WWII German Stickpin - Academy For Aeronautical Research Membership (1938) -
This is a rare German WWII pin which was awarded to members of the Academy for Aeronautical
Research headed by Herman Goering (head of the Luftwaffe). The awards came in
different forms. The one shown here is the miniature bronze style. Of
metal construction.
The design of the stickpin consists of an eagle in flight. The wings are fully extended. The
head is tilted looking to the right. The eagle is cluthing a swastika. The claws are
clearly visible. The tail is spread wide and is evenly divided between left and right sides.
Smooth pin construction soldered
to the upper section of the back. Marked 100 in the back and it also has the
manufacturer's logo .
The eagle displays outstanding detail. Specially in the feathers and the head.
This is a very high quality German stickpin.
