This is a rare German WWII pin which was awarded to members of the Academy for Aeronautical Research headed by Herman Goering
(head of the Luftwaffe). The
awards came in different forms. The one shown here is the miniature bronze style.
Of smooth pin construction. Attached directly to the badge. Marked 100 in the back. The eagle displays outstanding detail.
Specially in the feathers and the head. This is a very high quality German stickpin.
