This is a German WWII stick pin. These items were issued to military, civilian and political
individuals for various reasons. In the case of military personnel, a stickpin was given along
with a full size award. The soldier could wear the stick pin instead of having to sport
the full size badge.

This is a German WWII stick pin. Issued by an unidentified
organization. Consisting
of a very interesting design. A round metal circle with two drawn circles in the
center, one inside the other.
The outer circle is of black color with
the phrase BEIGTRENGET PFLICHT GETREU UND SCHLICHT is written in golden letters, which
translates to "Beigtrenget obligation faithfula and simple".
The inner circle has gold pebbling and houses a shield in the center. A cold letter "F"
appears in the lower section. Red flames are distributed throughout. The overall pin as
an air of Arabic style.

The back of the stickpin shows a very interesting construction. The
pin
performs a u-turn before it attaches to a metal circle which in turn is secured to
the main body. The upperswastika is attached as a separate piece and it rests on a
half moon base.
There are no
manufacturing markings
on this example.
This stickpin may be currently being
reproduced. It is becoming more difficult to
be able to tell the fake ones from the real ones because the quality of the reproductions is improving.
