WWII GERMAN ARMY FIELD FLASHLIGHT -
This is a German WWII flashlight. Of metal construction. rectangular shape. painted black. The design of the flashlight is evry ingenious. It has two different color lenses. The front of the body has two levers that go up and down. They control the lenses that cover the lightbulb.

Another interesting design feature is the placement of a hinged concave shield in front of the lightbulb. When the shield is closed it directs the light downwards. Making it ideal to read maps at night without broadcasting the soldier's presence. When the shield is in the open position it projects light forward like any othe flashlght would.

Two leather tabs are attached to the back of the flashlight. one at the top and one at the bottom. The tabs have holes at the end. this is employed to secure the flashlight to buttons in the tunic. Allowing the soldier to uyilize the flashlight hands-free.
