The item featured here is a set of German Luftwaffe pilot boots. As issued during World War Two. The boots
are full length. A zipper is built to each side to facilitate the action of putting the boots on and taking
them off. A top snap is present to provide an extra closure effect.
a leather strap with an aluminum buckle crosses the boots at an angle in the mid section. This provides
an extra measure of support for the pilot.
The inside is lined with sheep skin. This feature provides protection against the cold weather. one of the
boots has been repaired in recent time. A redish section of leather was added to cover a tear to the
boot.
The upper section of the inside shows a cloth tag, which contains information about the year and company that
manufactured the boots.
the overall construction of the footwear is heavy duty and of very high quality. A set of electrical
connectors are found sewn to one side. The aircraft had a set of wires that would plug here. This
