FRENCH HELMET ANATOMY AND CONSTRUCTION

The Ferench helmet has two very distinctive features. One of them is the curvature around the ear section. The other is the forehead leather pad.

A leather chin strap secures the helmet to the soldier. A metal buckle allows for adjustments.





The front of the helmet's liner has a metal bracket that provides extra support to hold the leather forehead section.
