WWII JAPANESE NAVY DRESS DAGGER -
This is an Imperial Japanese navy officer dress dagger. In overall very good condition. This is a nicer, more expensive
version of the standard dagger. The officer must have custom ordered this knife. The handle is white in color. Nicely
defined pebbling. Has wire wrapping around the sections. The pommel is of metal construction and has a large Chrysanthemum
flower on top.

The scabbard is very nice. Black color with a series of white dots. This is the same design applied to the Samurai
sword Katanas. The metal end pieces are nicely decorated with the standard Chrysanthemum flower with multiple leaf
pattern. Gold in color. The inside of the scabbard is made of wood. A spring loaded locking mechanism is found on
one side. This keeps the blade secure in place.
The blade is made of stainless steel. It does not hold an edge. It is machine made. A rain pattern Habaki is
found.
