within a
laurel wreath; the reverse with the crowned cipher of King George VI and circumscribed ‘GEORGIVS VI D.G. BR. OMN.

replaced correct ribbon. The medal was instituted in 1948 to mark the emergence of the State of Pakistan on 14 August 1947
The front of the medals bears the image of a person. The back has a flag with middle eastern writing. The suspension system is similar to those used by European countries. The medal was likely designed and built
in Europe.
