This is the Vietnamese Victory decoration medal. Issued by North Vietnam to troops who participated in the fight that led to the fall of South Vietnam.

Of thin metal construction. Stamped medal. Bears the North Vietnamese flag in the center.

Vietnamese medals in general are not currently being reproduced. However, military reproductions are becoming more widely available. It is becoming more difficult to be able to tell the fake ones from the real ones because the quality of the reproductions is improving. The collector must become familiarized with the construction style and materials employed in the manufacturing of these medals. Attention to the details is critical in order to be able to determine the authenticity of the collectible.
