This is a British Army 1907 Enfield bayonet. Manufactured in WWI but re-issued for use in WWII.

Wooden handle construction. Leather scabbard with metal throat and tip. The bayonet has several markings at the base of the blade. Among them are: 1907, strength test, crown, etc.

The leather scabbard is stamped with the manufacturer's name and dated 1944.

British Commonwealth items are currently being reproduced. It is becoming more difficult to be able to tell the fake ones from the real ones because the quality of the reproductions is improving. The collector must become familiarized with the construction style and materials employed in the manufacturing of these medals. Attention to the details is critical in order to be able to determine the authenticity of the collectible.
