US ARMY CAMOUFLAGED TUNIC - 1978 -
After the end of the Vietnam war the basic design of the fatigue uniforms was changed. These modifications include the straightening of the top front pockets, the camouflage pattern was produced slightly darker, the pockets on the jacket did not have as much ability to expand because they were cut in a different manner.

It is interesting to note that the rip-stop material remained the same as that used during the Vietnam war.

The jacket continues to have two tags. The largest is found on the inside upper portion, approaching the collar. The second one is found behind one of the bottom pockets.
