US Army Special Forces Tunic (1970) - Vietnam War - This is a US Army tunic as used by special forces in Vietnam. Of poplin
construction with a four pocket design. The upper pockets are slanted.
This design makes it easier for the soldier to access the contents of the
pocket while wearing the full combat load. Each pocket had two buttons to
secure it shut.

With hidden green plastic buttons. This feature minimized the snags that
could take place from runing in the jungle and brush.

The sleeves are long, which was the standard issue for the time. A common
modification was to shorten the sleeves.
The patches are standard issue. With the
"Special Forces" tab over the "Airborne" tab. All
  subdued.

The uniform
retains both white label tags. One near the collar and the other on the other
side of the lower pocket. The tags hold valuable information which includes
manufacturing data, manufacturer's name, color, material, etc.
