Firebomb Use During The Vietnam War -
Napalm was used in the pacific theater during WWII. Napalm consists of a jelly like substance that attaches with ease to any surface. It is highly flammable. It will burn until the fuel has been exhausted. The Vietnam war saw the use of napalm to a greater scale. US soldiers on the ground had the technological advantage over their enemies. They were able to call for air support. Aircraft would fly over the target area and drop off large napalm bombs.

This is the picture of a 750 pound firebomb. The results obtained from using this bomb are illustrated below. Anything laying within the kill zone would be incinerated.

This is the illustration of a multi-warhead firebomb. The bomblets contained in the tip would spread widely across the landscape. One of the problems with this system is that unexploded bomblets may be left in the field. These items present a high level of danger to residents of the area well after the war has finished.
