WWI US Army Utility Belt -
This is a US army combat belt. As issued during World War One. Of canvis construction with
brass fittings. The body of the belt has a series of columns of grommets, three per column,
that encompass the entire perimeter.
The grommets allow wire-type hooks to connect to the belt. This is how items such as
canteens, ammo pouches, first aid kits, etc. Are secured to the belt.
The design is similar to that used during WWII. The main differences can be found on the
fittings. The WWI type tend to be larger in size.
