MATERIALS FOR THE US MILITARY UNIFORM - There were not many different types of materials employed in the construction of military uniforms during the Worl War One. Wool and cotton were the most commonly employed materials. The quality of the wool was fairly harsh and itchy to wear. The summer cotton uniform was more comfortable to wear.
