WWII USMC Ka Bar Fighting Knife -
The Ka Bar knife is legendary among the US Marine Corps troops. The strong blade and overall design made it a favorite among troops in the South Pacific theater. The handle was made of wood, with heavy ridges designed for better grip. The blade itself had a "bolo" flavor, with the tip angling up. Typical of WWII issue was the round, thich waher at the top of the handle. This is where the blade and handle were attached.
The Ka-Bar saw action in all the wars fought after WWII. This knife continues to be produced today for both,
civilian and military use.
