WWII GERMAN HIGH SEAS FLEET BADGE ANATOMY -

The badge was given to Kriegsmarine personnel who served with distinction during a 12 week period on a Battleship or Cruiser. The design of the badge consisted of a wreath with a battleship in the center facing forward. The wreath was guilded. The rest of the components were of silver color.





The catch is of thick type. It is directly soldered to the body of the badge.

The hinge is of square type. Heavy duty construction.

The manufacturer markings are placed on the lower section of the back of the badge. The letters that are used are of raised type. Not all of the badges have markings.
