The War Badge for Mine Sweepers, Sub Chasers and Escort Ships was created on August 31, 1940. The purpose was to recognize valuable service provided by crew members of vessels. The award was issued to Kriegsmarine personnel.





The hinge is of round type. Heavy duty construction.

The catch is of thick type. It is soldered directly to the body.

The manufacturing markings are found in the lower section of the back of the badge. it is important to note that not all badges were marked.
