WWII GERMAN ARMY CAMOUFLAGED EAGLE -
The German Army employed eagles on the breast area of their tunics. The design consisted of an eagle
atop a swastika. The eagle's wings are spread open and the head is facing right. The patch was normally
constructed of wool material. The colors would vary depending on the branch of service.
The sample shown here is interesting because it is made of cotton and the material is camouflaged.
This eagle was more than likely worn on a camouflaged field jacket.
