WWII German NSBO Flag pole topper -
Germany had a large number of military, political and civilian organizations during WWII. Among

This was part of the symbolism that indicated pride of belonging to the organization.
The item featured here is a German flag pole topper. As manufactured for the NSBO during World
War Two. Of metal construction. Very interesting design consisting of a hand holding a hammer
with a swastika protruding from its side. A quarter of a gear attached to one end of the hammer.
The letetrs N.S.B.O are stamped alongside the gear.

One end of the hammer is stamped
with the words "Arendt Sulzbach Op". Just below that is the phrase "Ges Gesch" which indicates a
trademark. Not all of the flag pole toppers were marked.
This flag is currently being reproduced.
It is becoming more difficult to be able to tell the fake ones from the real ones because the quality
of the reproductions is improving. The collector must become familiarized with the construction style
and materials employed in the manufacturing of this flag. Attention to the details is critical in
order to be able to determine the authenticity of the flag.
