Miscellaneous Menuki - Japanese Samurai Sword - The Menuki were used to decorate the handle of the Samurai swords. An identical menuki would be placed towards the center of the handle. The sword makers used a variety of themes for the Menuki. Among them were dragons, men, flowers, etc. The samples shown here illustrate miscellaneous themes.
