|  1959 USMC Colonel Formal Dress Uniform - 
 
This is a US Marine Corps formal dress uniform. Of very heavy and high quality construction.
With a high top collar. Multiple gold buttons adorning the
jacket. Black pants with a stripe running alongside.  Finely embroidered to display
colonel bird rank insignia.  The uniform retains the Taylor made
tags.  Dated 1959. This is the top of the line as far as dress uniforms is
concerned.
This type of uniform was used for special evening events and parades. 
 The jacket has a series of metal golden buttons.  They are meant to enhance the appearance of
the jacket, they do not button up.
 
 
   
 
 
The epaulets have a colonel bird insignia exquisitely embroidered on them.  Silver color.  very high quality metal thread.  A metal golden button helps
