WWII GERMAN - ARMY DOG TAG
This is a WWII Army dog tag. Of metal construction. the dog tag is oval in shape and has a line semi cut through the
center, dividing the oval in two equal halves. Both sections have the same information which includes the name, rank
and unit where the soldier serves. Two holes are opened in the upper section so that a chain or rope can be used
to secure the dog tag to the soldier's neck.
in the event of death, one half would be broken for the records and given to ehadquarters so the demise of the soldier
could be recorded.
